The financial services industry is experiencing intense pressure caused by COVID-19 and the ensuing economic downturn. But beyond current events, it’s an industry that has often grappled with issues like integrating technology and data into business strategy as well as building a workforce that reflects the general population in terms of gender and race. Deanna Strable, CFO of S&P 500 financial services company Principal Financial – which has nearly $700 billion in assets under management – has worked for much of her career to address these challenges and capitalize on new opportunities.
